Team Hardinger is proud to take part in the American Trucking Association’s National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, celebrated Sept. 10 to 16.
We would prefer to think, however, that we celebrate the accomplishments of our drivers every day of the year.
After all, we’re extremely proud of the hard work our entire team of experienced drivers put in to move our customers’ goods safely, on time and on budget.

• A safety ranking that puts us in the top 7.8 percent of all U.S. carriers,
• Zero reported liability losses during our 2016-17 policy year (which ends in late September).

Team Hardinger leads the industry in trucking technology
One of the ways Team Hardinger is continuously working to improve our safety and efficiencies is through the use of electronic log devices (ELDs). We began incorporating ELDs in 2011, long before the December 2017 government mandate goes into place requiring their use.
ELD technology allows our dispatchers to trace up-to-the-minute locations of goods, and also gives us the ability to track information like a driver’s speeds and stops.
We review that information daily to find new efficiencies and incentivize drivers to meet safety goals.
In addition, the Hardinger trucking team reviews key performance indicators weekly — including speed management, vehicle maintenance and fuel efficiency — to ensure it is meeting objectives in the safest, most efficient and cost-productive ways possible.

Team Hardinger also believes in treating drivers right, which shows in the fact that our drivers have an average 12-year tenure with Team Hardinger. We focus on a healthy work-life balance, performance bonuses and a 401k plan with a company match.
This week we celebrate our drivers with giveaways and luncheons, but these are just small tokens of the appreciation we have every day for our drivers’ dedication to public safety and Team Hardinger customers.
